Floodgates is a Christian, non-profit, California corporation founded* in 1996 to teach the uncompromised Truth of God’s Word. Our Mandate (instruction) is to “Preach The Gospel” (Mark 16:15). Our Commission (Kingdom authority and power to
carry out His instruction) is “By The Anointing Of The Holy Spirit” (Luke 4:18-19).

*Marilyn’s life drastically changed on January 1, 1993 as she made some New Year’s Resolutions. Her father and mother had always pastored churches, but on that day in 1993 she asked Jesus if He was real…AND…if He was, would He be Her Lord and Saviour. She promised Him she would do her part if He would make Himself real to her.
She was transformed as she did her part and allowed The Lord to do His. He made Himself so real to her that on July 10, 1994, The Lord showed her what her Destiny was for Him “Move to another town and preach The Gospel to that Town and County.”
She did and in 1996 Floodgates was founded, a Board of Directors was formed and God’s Destiny for her began by collecting clothes and food in her small garage then giving them to those in need. This small work turned into a 4000 SF warehouse with food, clothing and a meeting room to teach God’s Word to those coming for food and clothing.
In June, 2000 the State of California Prison system beckoned Floodgates to preach, teach and minister to the over 4000 male inmates in their local facility. Next: Television, a WebPage and Partners throughout the United States.
It’s a privilege to preach The Gospel uncompromised! Floodgates is committed to pointing to THE Truth (JESUS) and will continue to preach The Good News to all who will listen – growing them into “The measure of the stature of Jesus Christ.”
Each of us have Purposes and a Destiny for The Lord. There’s no other way to know what it is except “Through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord” (II Peter 1:2-3 & 8) as we read His Word, spend time in prayer and are mentored and tutored by The Holy Spirit.

OUR MINISTRIES
Feeding/Helping/Ministering To People
We feed families and those in need. This is done on a personal case-by-case basis. We also help pay for expenses when a critical case comes to our attention. We meet with these folks, talk to them and make sure we have let them know of Jesus and His Love for them. We provide Daily Devotionals, Bibles and as much of God’s Word as we can.
Prison Ministry
By stepping out in faith in June 2000 (and being obedient to The Word to visit those in Prison), we’ve taught inmates in The State of California prison system. What a blessing to us and the inmates. We’ve provided hundreds of Bibles, cassette tapes, devotionals and GoodNews Letters AND been given the opportunity to teach The Word to inmates who come to two different Chapel (up to 200 at a time). The inmates not only became spiritually-mature, but they tithed postage stamps for us to send The GoodNews Letter to others and they pray for us. In 2015 The Lord revealed to us that our time IN the prison was to end. And, we thought our prison ministry was done.
But, it’s NOT done. We have heard from so many inmates wanting our monthly GoodNews Letter teaching, that we STILL continue to teach those who are still in prison (Matthew 25:36, Hebrews 13:3)
One-On-One Ministry
The Lord has presently allowed us to do a one-on-one ministry to those in need. They include those who’ve had family members pass away, those who are addicted and those who are ill. We provide not only physical and emotional support, but spiritual. And, when needed, we provide financial support. This is a very special ministry that allows us to listen to those who need help – then we give them God’s Word and show them how God can deliver them from their many addictions and illnesses and show them how they can have the hope that they’ve lost.
And, The Lord just added another opportunity for us to help others. It’s through Mercy Multiplied (formerly Mercy Ministries). We will be financially helping girls and women who have been the victims of sex trafficking. What a privilege to help these beautiful women and girls.

Our web page www.floodgates.net has been fully-operational for years. We get thousands of hits a year and those making a hit have the opportunity to read Jesus’ Gospel in The GoodNews Letter.

Television Ministry
Floodgates, for five years, previously had a television ministry on the local cable channel that broadcast over 50 hours a year into our community. However, The Lord told us the time for our TV ministry was over and moved us into more time in our Prison Ministry.
Warehouse Ministry
From calendar year 1997 through 2002 we had a 4000 SF warehouse where we had Bible Studies, gave away food and clothing, helped disciple and physically help those in need. The Lord told us our work was done in 2002 and we closed the warehouse to spend more time with one-on-one help and to develop our Prison Ministry

The Lord’s Mandate (instruction) to Floodgates
For Christ The Messiah sent me out…to evangelize by preaching the glad tidings of The Gospel not with verbal eloquence, less the cross of Christ should be deprived of it’s force and emptied of it’s power and rendered vain (fruitless, void of value, of no effect) For The Gospel is the manifestation of the power of God (I Corinthians 1:17-18). “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4)
The Lord’s Commission (authority and power) for Floodgates to carry out His Mandate
“For our preaching the Good News (Gospel) came to you not only in word, but by way of it’s own inherent power and by way of the Holy Spirit with great conviction and absolute certainty (I Thessalonians 1:5). How beautiful are the feet of those that preach The Gospel (Romans 10:15). A bond servant of Jesus Christ, an apostle (special messenger) set apart to preach The Gospel (Romans 1:1) by The Anointing coming from The Holy Spirit (Luke 4:18-19).
Floodgates’ nature, excellence, character, behavior and faith is based upon Matthew 6:33 “But seek (desire, inquire, be addicted to, go about) FIRST His Kingdom (His SYSTEM of operation) AND His Righteousness (His one-sided Agape Love) then all these things taken together will be given you besides. “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is (already) laid, which is Jesus Christ (The Messiah, the Anointed One – I Corinthians 3:11).” And if you belong to Christ (Who is Abraham’s Seed), then you are Abraham’s offspring and (spiritual) heir according to the promise” (Galatians 3:7, 29). For the Kingdom of God is His RIGHTEOUSNESS (His One-sided Agape Love – Matthew 22:37, 39), HIS PEACE (His New Covenant of Wholeness and Completeness/Shalom/Salvation – Isaiah 54:10, Ephesians 6:15) and OUR JOY (Floodgates joyfully obtaining the prize for God that He’s set before us to obtain for Him – Hebrews 12:2) by way of The Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).
Floodgates is determined to LIVE* by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

*A Life of God’s principles of Shalom (Salvation/Peace/ Wholeness/Completeness), Life as God has it, Life that The Father has in Himself and gave to His Son to have in Himself which manifested (flowed out of Him) into the world, Life which The Son has in Himself and gave to you to have in yourself to manifest (flow out of you) into the world. A Life of love, prospering, being preserved, restored, made whole and revived (to BE the Jesus that’s within you) by The Holy Spirit.
